Tivo (44) i Salma (38), Zambija

"Why do I have two wives? Well, when one wife goes away for a while then the other one can help me taking care of the house, children and animals." Uatongota (32), Kauarende (56) and Uazeupara (52) ⠀⠀ . . Edit: It is not our choice to censure women breasts. We don't travel to remote places and spend our time and money to keep this material for us or put stickers all over it. We HAVE TO cover them otherwise, Instagram or Facebook will remove the post because it is against their community standards. We are sending an explanation each time, but they don't accept it. Tons of our photos remained unpublished because of this. . . .⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #namibia #himba #himbatribe #lovearoundtheworld #filming #ljubavokosvijeta #davorrostuhar #reallifestories #love #africa #discoverafrica #ig_africa #africanpeople #portrait_shoot #africanportraits #humansoflove #humansofafrica #withhumans #people_and_world #aroundtheworld #travelblog #travelblogger #instatravel #peoplesportrait #documentary #portraitplanet #natgeo #loves_united_africa #polygamy

"He asked me to marry him the very first time we met. I was afraid that he was not being honest. There are harmful beliefs and misconceptions about people with albinism. – What if he is one of them – I wondered. Even my family didn't trust him at the beginning. Why would anyone wanted to marry an albino just out of love?" Naomi explained how she felt eight years ago when she first met Mathew. He added "I felt something right from the start, she was so special. My friends were asking me – why are you marring an albino when there are so many other girls around you. – Well, it was not my eyes that choose her, it was my heart – I explained." #loveacrosscultures Naomi(22) and Mathew(32), Lusaka, Zambia ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In addition to their everyday struggle, individuals with albinism in Africa are also plagued by bounty hunters. In some extreme cases, superstitions and traditional beliefs about albinism can lead to violent assault and murder. In witchcraft-related rituals, certain body parts of people with albinism are made into charms that are believed to bring wealth and good luck. At the same time, people with albinism have also been ostracised and even killed for exactly the opposite reason, because they are presumed to be cursed and bring bad luck. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #lovearoundtheworld #davorrostuhar #lusaka #zambia #africa #love #reallifestories #couple #couplegoals #albinism #albinismawareness #albinismisbeautiful #albino #inspiration #thisisafrica #okayafrica #afrodyssee #bbcafrica #withhumans #ljubavokosvijeta

Finding Nalotesha and Shuel was one of my missions on this journey (read yesterday’s post if you missed it). I wanted to bring them photos from their wedding and see how they are doing today. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I found them not far from the village where I left them. They were all there – Shuel, Nalotesha, three children that they got in the meantime and Naisha,, Shuel’s first wife and her three children. It was surreal to see them all again, now six years older. Nalotesha was just a child when I first saw her. Now she is a woman, bringing up her children, taking care of household. She for sure seems much happier than on her wedding day. Moments like this make me love my job even more ❤ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #loveacrosscultures #masai #masaimara #kenya #africa #maasai #davorrostuhar #maasaiwedding #travelblog #travelblogger #instatravel #aroundtheworld #earthpics #voyaged #lensbible #TLPicks #discoverearth #yourshotphotographer #lovetheworld #bbctravel #passionpassport #wearepangaea #meridijani #discoverafrica #ig_africa #chasingafrica_ #afriquette #okayafrica #africaboutik #africagrams

Kevin and Bethany ~ "I think we, as humans haven't learned how to really truly love or what love is. I believe once we learn how to really love all beings with no strings attached and no expectations the world will be a much better place." -Bethany #LoveAcrossCultures _ This was the first time we interviewed someone we know really well. Although we live thousands of miles apart, Kevin is one of my best friends. We met in Barcelona in 2003. and travelled to a lot of different places since (jungles of Guatemala and West Papua, tundras of Syberia, deserts of USA and Namibia…) . Kevins partner Bethany identifies as gender non- binary and uses they/them pronouns. They are second-generation Mexican American on their matrilineal side, feeling a deep connection to their Mexican Roots. Bethany is a student and teacher of land-based skills. They have found that working with their hands in relationship with different elements of nature brings some of the deepest healing. Bethany feels a part of their path is to do what they can to bridge the gap between humans and nature. They are currently working as a professional Broom Maker. _ #LoveAroundTheWorld #ljubavokosvijeta #love #couples #davorrostuhar #twisp #usa #washingtonstate #whatislove #aroundtheworld #love #lovestories #lovestory #filming #documentary #reallifestories #withhumans #humansoflove #humansoftheworld

Richard and Cheryl ~ "Our relationship is like a book. It has many different chapters. Now we are in Chapter 4. The kids left. I decided to quit my job. And we decided to dismantle a fort we were building all these years. And we could do whatever we wanted, start all over again. So we decided to travel around the world and write about it." -Richard #LoveAcrossCultures _ We interviewed this lovely couple in Seattle. Love the rest of their story, but we will save it for the movie. Until then, follow their journeys on @travelisbeautiful, a page and travel blog they started in their 60s💙 _ #LoveAroundTheWorld #ljubavokosvijeta #love #couples #davorrostuhar #seattle #usa #washingtonstate #whatislove #aroundtheworld #love #lovestories #lovestory #filming #documentary #reallifestories #withhumans #humansoflove #humansoftheworld #seattlelovestory #travelblog

Don and Sara ~ "When we got together, all we wanted to do is to go camping, live in the woods. So we had a series of tents, teepees, yurts.. We just refused to live in the town and be 'civilized'. And we didn't really have a traditional house until we had 3 kids." – Don ~ "We lived in the back of a station wagons, in barns, chicken coops that we refurbished etc. It was exciting and hard and fun, all at the same time. I had all five babies delivered at home. Don delivered couple of them after studying midwifery. That connected us on a whole new level." – Sara _ #LoveAroundTheWorld #ljubavokosvijeta #love #couples #davorrostuhar #twisp #usa #washingtonstate #whatislove #aroundtheworld #love #lovestories #lovestory #filming #documentary #reallifestories #withhumans #humansoflove #humansoftheworld
